The Story Behind
Why We Had Our 'Gap' Year
For us, as business owners, we believe that life's too short not to be enjoying what you do and taking opportunities to develop and grow.
We're also realistic enough to also know that sometimes being in business can take over your life and you can forget your original 'Why'.
That's exactly why we decided we deserved a 'Gap Year'.
After over 10 years working 'hands-on' with literally hundreds of small businesses, we decided to head off on an adventure and do something courageous, risky, scary but fun!
We headed to Devon to set up and run our very own ‘Champagne Cruise Boat’ I know, it’s a tough job but someone’s gotta do it!
While our aim was to have fun, it was also to prove you can launch and build a viable business, quickly, using social media as the main marketing channel…
And that's exactly what we did, selling it after the first season with a full diary of cruises booked, proving the value of social media in effective marketing.
Since then, we’ve stepped back into our business and marketing roots and really focused on working with local independent businesses, an area we have many years of experience in, to support businesses to achieve their goals.
